Valentines Day Candles, Wine and Clay

Service Description

Join Round Rock Community Clay as we create two fully custom candles. First you can choose a pre made vessel from available inventory out of RRCC's hand made ceramics. We will then teach you how to fill and scent the vessel using an array of scents, waxes and additional decorative ingredients. While this take home today item is curing, you will hand build a custom candle out of clay. You will hand build a custom pot using slab/coil and pinch techniques. You will have access to a variety of tools, texture rollers and clay bodies to create a one of a kind personalized candle. Wine will be offered during this class, but not required to drink of course! **The handmade ceramic vessel will take about two weeks to go through a bisque kiln, then you will need to return to paint on glaze and give it one more run through a glaze firing. Pots are kept for TWO months after firing, so please don't forget to glaze and pickup your items!
