Service Description
2-Day Wilkerson Pass — $175 with Bryan Wilkerson (@bryanwilkerson) Spend two evenings hand-building alongside visiting artist Bryan Wilkerson, known for his richly detailed character mugs — snarling, toothy, full of personality, and unmistakably his own. Across two sessions, you'll learn Bryan's approach to sculpting expressive faces and building character directly into functional forms, developing the kind of texture, attitude, and storytelling that turns a simple mug into something with a whole personality of its own. This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch experience — no two pieces (or artists) alike. Whether you're brand new to character work or looking to push your sculptural skills further, you'll leave the weekend with a piece that's entirely your own, guided by one of the visiting artists people have been asking to work with for a while. Sessions: Friday, Nov 20, 6:30–9:00 PM (part of the Friday opening reception) Saturday, Nov 21, 5:00–7:30 PM Includes: Both sessions with Bryan, materials, firing, and catered Saturday dinner. Price: $175 Full Weekend Pass — $250 Includes all sessions, catered Saturday dinner, and catered Sunday lunch (multiple food choices available, selected prior to the workshop). 2-Day Wilkerson Pass — $175 Includes both Bryan Wilkerson sessions (Friday + Saturday) and catered Saturday dinner. *Full weekend Pass is a Separate listing! (please register under "Character Building Workshop-Full Weekend") Community Give-Back This weekend ties into our ongoing partnership with the Austin Empty Bowls Project — the closing reception on Sunday doubles as a Bowl-a-Thon, so bring a piece of functional dinnerware or a bowl to donate toward next year's fundraiser. **Clay, tools, glazes and firing for all work made during class are included.**Studio tools are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own **clearly labeled** tools if you prefer. 👕 **Please wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.
