Bring a little personality to life! In this one-of-a-kind class, local artist Herb will guide you through the art of hand-building original clay characters from scratch. Using simple hand-building techniques — no wheel required — you'll sculpt 2–3 of your own whimsical figures, adding details, texture, and personality along the way. Whether you want to create quirky creatures, tiny humans, fantastical beings, or something totally from your imagination, Herb's relaxed and encouraging teaching style makes this class approachable for all experience levels. No pottery experience necessary — just a willingness to play with clay! All clay, glaze, and firing fees are included. Your finished characters will be fired and glazed, ready to take home as one-of-a-kind keepsakes or gifts. Please wear clothing/shoes that can get dirty! **Projects take two weeks to go through a bisque kiln. Come back within 60 days to glaze your pot (included) and it will take one more pass through the glaze kiln to finally go to its forever home.
