Intro to Wheel Throwing – One-Time Class Curious about the pottery wheel but not ready to commit to a multi-week class? This one’s for you. Our **Intro to Wheel Throwing** is a hands-on, one-time crash course designed to get you spinning clay with confidence—no experience needed. We aim for cylinders (the foundation of wheel throwing), but let’s be real… you’ll probably make a little bit of everything along the way—**bowls, ashtrays, spoon or skittle holders, and even delightfully weird non-functional works of art**. That’s part of the magic. You’ll get to keep **2–5 pieces**, depending on size. During class, you’ll learn: * Basic wheel-throwing terminology * Essential techniques and tools * How to center clay and form shapes on the wheel **Clay, tools,glazes and firing for all work made during class are included.**Studio tools are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own **clearly labeled** tools if you prefer. If you catch the clay bug and want a deeper dive, we also offer **4-week and 8-week wheel-throwing classes**. Check the calendar to see what’s currently scheduled. 👕 **Please wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Clay happens.** --- Firing & Glazing Timeline Projects take about **2-3weeks** to go through the bisque kiln. Once ready, you’ll have **up to 60 days** to come back and glaze your piece (glazing is included). After glazing, your work goes through the kiln one final time before heading to its forever home. --- Important Details We get it—life happens. If you can’t make a class you’ve purchased, please let us know **as soon as possible** so we can reschedule or apply credit toward another class. * **3+ days’ notice:** eligible for reschedule or class credit * **Under 3 days’ notice:** no refunds; class credit only, valid within 60 days and at studio discretion --- Payment Methods We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo, cash (**exact change only**), and checks.
