Service Description
One time hand building class with Shawn Dempsey Shawn Dempsey has been fascinated by all things pottery for 30 years. Working out of her studio in Round Rock, she specializes in functional hand built and wheel-thrown pottery. Learn the basics of hand building in this one time class. Students will explore the core construction techniques of pinching, coiling, and slab building. This is a potters choice class where you are encouraged to bring us inspiration such as pics, sketches or textures from home. Depending on size you can keep 2-3 pieces. Clay, glaze and firing fees for all work completed during class is included the cost, additional clay is available for purchase. Tools are available for student use at the studio. You can bring in your own CLEARLY LABELLED tools for use. Please wear clothing/shoes that can get dirty! **Projects take two weeks to go through a bisque kiln. Come back within 60 days to glaze your pot (included) and it will take one more pass through the glaze kiln to finally go to its forever home.

Stuff happens we get it, but if you cant make a class you purchased, please let us know asap so we can reschedule and apply credit to another class. Please give 3 days notice or we have a hard time filling your seat. **UNDER 3 days notice NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN, only credit for a future class within 60 days at the studios discretion.
